Top Ten Favorite Kick-Ass Heroines

Posted by Unknown at Tuesday, October 30, 2012
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish :)
Hmm... I had a hard time with this one, and i'm sorry but Katniss made her way onto this list. She's probably gonna be on EVERYONE'S but I couldn't resist! And I didn't know how to take the title... so I took it figuratively, and just put the best heroines I know. Including Belle from you know, Beauty and the Beast.. preferably Disney version, so it's not like you'd mistake it for being literal. These are in no particular order, sorry if I got this theme all wrong... it confused me a ton! D:

  1. Hazel (Grace ;)) from The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I couldn't resist. This is my fave book and this is one of my top fave heroines.
  2. Jo from Little Women. This is an oldie, but a goldie!
  3. ...Cassie? I think it's Cassie. from Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry (I read this a long time ago, sorry! D: I'm horrible with names!)
  4. Violet from The Bad Beginning(a series of unfortunate events) when i was little me and my mum read through these books, I LOVED Violet... like total worshiping. And that has continued.
  5. Belle from Beauty & The Beast, preferably Disney version. When I was little, I used to want to be just like Belle(and I was... still am, I never go anywhere without a book under my arm. :D) I can't resist putting in some Disney lyrics here... look, there she goes, that girl is so peculiar I wonder if she's feeling well with a dreamy, far-off look and her nose stuck in a book what a puzzle to the rest of us is Belle!
  6. Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. I have my qualms with this character, she is by far the person whom I have the biggest concerns with who made this book, but this book is superb, and so is Sophie!
  7. Meggie from Inkheart. I've read this book like 253363557756453535 times, i'm even going to reread it(at least some of it) tonight, and it never gets old!
  8. Katniss from The Hunger Games(i'm sorry! just in case this is literal ass-kicking, she snaked her way in here!)
  9. Chloe from Welcome Caller, This Is Chloe.
  10. what's-her-face(no, her name isn't actually this, I forget, I think it starts with a C, i'm on my phone and my Goodreads is being horrid, so i can't look it up like I normally do, sorry. D:) from The Night Circus(later update: it's Celia!)
So that's it for this week! Leave links to yours below!

  1. Katniss, literal ass-kicking haha. I like your list, although I don't recognize some of the names.

  2. Yes to Jo from Little Women! Great choice!
I had Katniss, as well. She was popular this time around for obvious reasons!
    Great list.
